Diet 5: 2

Diet 5: 2 is done by eating normally for five days then fasting for two days a week. In addition to losing weight, this diet is claimed to increase life span, improve cognitive function, and protect the brain from conditions such as dementia and Alzheimer's disease. This diet also protects the body from various diseases. According to one study, a 5: 2 diet is thought to help reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes by increasing insulin sensitivity. While other studies reveal, a 5: 2 diet can help reduce the risk of cancer associated with obesity and breast cancer. However, both of these studies still need further study and proof. Side effects of this diet are mood swings (irritable), difficulty sleeping, bad breath, dehydration, and drowsiness during the day.

Dukan Diet

The next diet of various types of diets that are commonly done is the Dukan diet. This diet emphasizes a diet high in protein and low in carbohydrates, and low in fat. The Dukan Diet is designed so that you don't feel hungry during your diet. You can choose from 100 different types of food (72 animal and 28 vegetable), and are allowed to eat as much as desired, provided that from 100 foods. This diet is thought to reduce weight by 15 kg in 8-10 weeks. But do not be happy first, the Dukan diet is not free of side effects. Weight loss is largely due to loss of body fluid and muscle mass. You can experience fatigue, lack of certain nutrients, constipation, bad breath, dry mouth, to an increased risk of getting cancer if done continuously.

Paleo diet

The Paleo diet only allows you to eat natural foods like cavemen in prehistoric times. The food in question is lean meat, eggs, fruits, vegetables, fish, nuts, seeds, and vegetable oils. While foods that should be avoided are dairy products, cereal seeds, processed foods and drinks, salt, sugar, and potatoes. The Paleo diet does prevent you from sugar, salt, and processed foods. But on the other hand, you can get bored quickly because eating tastes bland, spending more money because food must be organic, and can even cause insufficient carbohydrate and calcium intake. Moreover, there is no accurate record of how prehistoric human diets are, and the lack of scientific evidence regarding the health claims of this diet.

The Atkins Diet

The Atkins diet loses weight by reducing or not consuming simple carbohydrates at all, but may consume a lot of protein and fat. In theory, when you starve because there isn't enough carbohydrates, your body will start burning fat to get energy. Like other types of diets, this diet can cause side effects, such as lack of nutrition, constipation, dizziness, insomnia, nausea, fatigue due to lack of carbohydrates, and potentially lack of fiber. In addition to the diet above, there are still many other types of diets, such as the Mediterranean diet and the white water diet. The effectiveness of each type of diet is not necessarily the same for everyone, depending on the condition of the body of people who go on a diet and diet before diet. So, before you try the various diets above, make sure you consult with your nutritionist. Any adoption of eating patterns can endanger the condition and health of the body.
